This clinical workshop organised by the Pro-Implant Foundation focuses on structured, practice-oriented approaches to the management of periprosthetic joint infection (PJI). The programme is built around real clinical scenarios and decision points commonly encountered in revision arthroplasty and infection care.
The course addresses diagnostic work-up and sampling strategies, principles of debridement, indications for DAIR, revision concepts, and the use of systemic and local antibiotics. Emphasis is placed on treatment algorithms, consistency in clinical decision-making, and translating established principles into daily practice.
The workshop is intended for orthopaedic surgeons involved in the care of patients with PJI who are looking for applied, experience-based insight rather than basic science or purely theoretical discussion.
