This two-day course combines teaching on hand and wrist fracture fixation with supervised cadaver dissection. It forms part of the Zurich Hand Courses, held in collaboration with IBRA and chaired by Professor Maurizio Calcagni.
Audience: Senior residents and physicians undertaking subspecialty training.
Programme and practical training
Lectures and demonstrations address fracture patterns, the choice between operative and conservative treatment, stable fixation and implant positioning. Small-group dissections use latex-injected, formalin-free specimens to connect surgical anatomy with practical fixation techniques and the avoidance of technical pitfalls.
