AO Trauma Course – Upper Extremity

03.06.2026 – 05.06.2026
Prague, Czech Republic

The AO Trauma Course on Upper Extremity Fractures is an advanced surgical training course focused on the operative management of complex injuries of the shoulder, arm, elbow, forearm and wrist. Organised by AO Trauma, the course combines structured teaching with hands-on training using human anatomical specimens.

The programme addresses fracture reduction, fixation strategies, implant selection and surgical approaches specific to the upper extremity. Teaching emphasises detailed anatomical understanding, intraoperative decision-making and the prevention and management of complications in technically demanding fracture patterns.

This course is intended for experienced orthopaedic and trauma surgeons who already manage upper extremity fractures in clinical practice and are seeking to refine advanced techniques, deepen anatomical insight and strengthen surgical decision-making. It is not designed for early trainees or introductory-level participants.
