ConferenceTERMIS-AM 2026 will bring the tissue engineering and regenerative medicine community to New Orleans from 15 to 18 November 2026. Organised by the Americas Chapter of the Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine International Society, the Annual Conference & Exhibition connects researchers, clinicians, engineers, entrepreneurs and industry specialists working to develop new approaches for repairing, replacing and regenerating damaged tissues.
The 2026 meeting also marks the 20th anniversary of TERMIS. Under the theme “Bench. Chip. Clinic. Where y’at in regeneration?”, the scientific programme will explore how discoveries move from experimental models and enabling technologies towards clinical application. Three cross-cutting areas receive particular attention: CRISPR and lipid nanoparticles, organ-on-chip models and artificial intelligence. The wider programme spans biofabrication, bioreactors, stem cells, cell therapies, imaging, wound healing, inflammation, commercialisation and regulatory pathways.
Musculoskeletal tissue engineering forms a dedicated part of the programme, making the conference relevant to researchers and clinicians interested in bone, cartilage, tendon, ligament, spine and orthopaedic regeneration. Related sessions cover scaffolds, matrices and biomaterials, as well as the biological response to engineered materials and regenerative therapies. These topics link fundamental biomaterials research with practical questions surrounding tissue repair, implant integration, disease modelling and the development of clinically usable treatments.
Participants can expect plenary lectures, scientific concurrent sessions, workshops, oral and poster presentations, society activities and an exhibition featuring technologies and services for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. A business pitch competition will also bring together scientists, clinicians, entrepreneurs and investors to examine promising therapies, diagnostics, research tools and enabling technologies with potential for clinical and commercial translation.
