ConferenceThe XXXII International Congress of the Argentine Association of Orthopaedic Trauma will take place from 26 to 28 August 2026 at the Universidad Católica Argentina in Buenos Aires. Organised by the Asociación Argentina del Trauma Ortopédico (AATO), the congress is an established regional meeting for orthopaedic surgeons, trauma specialists, residents and other professionals involved in the treatment of fractures and complex musculoskeletal injuries.
The scientific programme will focus on current clinical practice in orthopaedic trauma, including fracture management, surgical decision-making, fracture fixation and the treatment of challenging trauma cases. Participants can expect expert presentations, case-based discussion and opportunities to exchange experience with colleagues working in different hospitals and healthcare systems. Alongside invited lectures, the congress includes scientific contributions through free papers, posters and resident research, bringing new clinical findings and practical experience into the programme.
Confirmed international guests include Cyril Mauffrey, Theodore Miclau and Vincenzo Giordano. The 2026 congress also has scientific support from AO Trauma and the International Orthopaedic Trauma Association (IOTA), adding an international perspective to a meeting with strong roots in the Argentine and Latin American trauma community.
The congress is conducted primarily in Spanish and is therefore particularly accessible to orthopaedic trauma professionals from Argentina and across Latin America.
